Dear Dana:



\JI have finally finished! I turned in the complete approved version of
my dissertation last Friday.  All that remains is the "public presentation"
of my thesis, which is scheduled for June 12, then graduation is the 17th.

The quarter is nearly over, finals are June 13 thru 15, so after grading
exams and writing 105 "narrative evaluations" I'll actually have some
time to do as I please for awhile.  Although end-of-quarter is a busy
time, I've already begun to examine my do-it-later piles, finding all
sorts of interesting things, including the papers you sent us some time
ago and all I've got on LCF.  I read the papers you sent when we received
them, but was rushed and had several questions.  I'm now going to reread
them and see if any of the notes I made the first time through still make
sense (probably not).

We're having a party June 16th to celebrate graduation a day early.
I'm including an invitation and a map to our house with this letter. We
hope you can join us.
